Demand Opportunity Service (DOS)

Demand Opportunity Service (DOS) is a temporary, recallable (interruptible) class of system access service that can apply to an increase in load that exceeds a customer’s Contract Capacity under Demand Transmission Service (DTS).

System access service under Rate DOS is only available to a market participant that the AESO pre-qualifies for DOS. Market participants wishing to apply for DOS must follow a two-stage application process.
