Compliance Monitoring Audit

The Alberta Reliability Standards Compliance Monitoring Program (CMP) defines specific methods of monitoring compliance with reliability standards. The compliance monitoring audit is one of the methods implemented in the program.

Through a compliance monitoring audit, the AESO will systematically and objectively evaluate the registered market participant’s compliance with applicable Alberta reliability standards and requirements pertaining to the registered
function(s).  There are two types of compliance monitoring audits; (a) scheduled audit; and, (b) spot audit. The scope of the compliance monitoring audit will not extend beyond the bounds of compliance monitoring relative to Alberta reliability standards.
