Alternatives to Quick Hits
In April 2006, the AESO approved the Phase I Market Policy Rules with an unspecified implementation date, awaiting expected modifications to the Transmission Regulation that would enable the rules to be implemented. As a result of delays in the required regulatory changes, the approved Phase I Market Policy Rules are still not in effect. This discussion provides an update, options and some recommended alternatives to the approved Phase I Market Policy Rules.
