April 2010 Final Settlement

Today, the AESO has issued the Final Pool Statements for the month of April 2010. The settlement results reflect all information that was received by the AESO from the Meter Data Managers (MDMs) and Load Settlement Agents (LSAs) by the 10th business day (May 14, 2010).
The April 2010 final statements include Prior Period Energy Payment / Energy Charge items which result from the following:
September 2009 and January 2010 generation and AESO directly contracted transmission load changes, interim reconciliation of load settlement data as described in AUC Rule 021 for the month of January 2010, and final reconciliation of load settlement data as described in Rule 021 for the month of September 2009.
To review the hourly impact of the resettlements, please refer to the Settlement Changes (Prod)/(Cons) Report available to participants in their secured area of the Energy Trading System (ETS).
The AESO requires participants to send all payments to the AESO through wire transfers. For some participants, this may result in a charge by your financial institution based on your individual banking agreement.
The cash settlement for the month of April 2010 will occur on Monday, May 31, 2010. Please ensure that any amount owed to the AESO related to the energy market settlement is transferred on or before that date via electronic transfer to the AESO's bank account at the Bank of Montreal. All AESO payments to participants will be made on May 31, 2010. Banking information can obtained by contacting our Accounting group (http://www.aeso.ca/market/13402.html).
