Quarterly Reports

The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) posts on its website quarterly projects reports that include all projects where an application has been made to the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) either by the AESO or the designated transmission facility owner. Projects are any upgrades, reinforcements, system expansions or customer interconnections which impact the transmission system in the province. These reports include detailed information about each project such as: project description, status updates, cost estimates and proposed in-service dates. The AESO has prepared these quarterly reports in accordance with s. 9.1.4 of the ISO Rules.

This document is in response to requests from stakeholders for more visibility about the AESO’s transmission planning initiatives. Stakeholders are encouraged to refer to this document for a general overview of the system planning activities underway at the AESO.
