About Transmission
We are continuously assessing the needs of the transmission system to continue to meet reliability standards and requirements. In compliance with the Transmission Regulation, we are planning the development of the grid to ensure transmission is in place ahead of generation development and load growth to facilitate a competitive marketplace for electricity in Alberta. Our activities in this area are guided by the Electric Utilities Act and the Transmission Regulation.
