Grid Information Database (TASMo)
TASMo is a data model representing the physical elements of the electric transmission system. Data in TASMo allows a power system analyst to mathematically model the electrical characteristics of transmission lines, transformers, machines and devices. This information can then be used to:
- calculate the electric voltages and currents throughout the power system (power flow analysis)
- calculate how active devices respond to disturbances on the power system (transient analysis)
- calculate how much current flows during short-circuit events (fault analysis)
- compile statistics about the Alberta Interconnected Electric System (AIES)
TASMo data is presented in three ways:
- Download solved base cases created from TASMo Data
- Query TASMo to create a customized (unsolved) Base Case
The information contained in TASMo can be useful to companies in planning particular projects, identifying or assessing opportunities, and competing for infrastructure projects offered through requests for proposals.
