The following interconnection process shows the series of steps and interactions that the AESO, Transmission Facility Owner (TFO’s) and Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) will go through to expand the transmission system.The process covers all types of transmission expansions or additions that may be required. The documents, forms and templates that accompany the interconnection process were developed to provide consistency and clarity to the process and to ensure that consistent TFO estimating and reporting is provided.
