    Connection process quarterly reporting

The AESO is committed to reporting quarterly on the length of time projects spend in each of the six process stages in the Connection Process.

By analyzing how much time projects are spending in stages, the stages where projects are taking longer than expected can be identified and studied to determine the causes for delays. This analysis will continue to inform recommendations for resolving those delays. Four parties are involved in connecting a project to the transmission system and each party can affect performance and achievement of the in-service date.

The four parties include; the Market Participant, the Transmission Facility Owner, the Alberta Utilities Commission and the AESO. Each party has various levels of involvement in different stages of the process.
