    Forty Mile Wind Power Project Connection

    Renewable Energy Systems Canada Inc. (RES) has applied to the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) for transmission system access to connect its proposed Forty Mile Wind Power Project in the Bow Island area. RES’s
    request can be met by the following solution:

    • Add a 240 kilovolt (kV) transmission line to connect the proposed Forty Mile 516S substation to the existing Whitla 251S substation.
    • Modify the existing Whitla 251S substation, including adding a 240 kV circuit breaker.
    • Add or modify associated equipment as required for the above transmission developments.
