    Okotoks 678S Substation Upgrade and High River 65S Substation Modification

    FortisAlberta Inc. (Fortis) has applied to the Alberta Electric System Operator for transmission system access to improve reliability and to serve growing demand for electricity in the Okotoks and High River areas. Fortis’ request can be met by the following solution:

    • Upgrading the Okotoks 678S substation including adding a 138/25 kV transformer, adding three 138 kV breakers and associated equipment; and
    • Modifying the High River 65S substation including adding two 25 kV breakers and associated equipment.
