    AESO Application Programming Interface (API)

We are happy to announce that the AESO’s first Application Programming Interface (API) is now available. APIs allow AESO data to be accessed programmatically, providing for more reliability and eliminating the need to ‘screen scrape’ our reports and webpages.

At this time, Intertie Capability data and Interchange Outage data is available via secure API. Additional APIs containing other public data currently available in ETS, ADaMS, and other sources will be added to this list in the future.

    To access AESO’s API page:

    aeso api 1

    • You will be sent an email with your API key. Click on the “Authorize” button on the AESO APIs homepage to authorize your access.

We welcome your feedback! Please share any feedback or suggestions you may have about the new API with us at info@aeso.ca.
