New Asset Chappice Lake (CHP1) Notice

The effective date of Asset CHP1 has been postponed. The previous effective date was February 15, 2023. The new effective date will be April 19, 2023.

Chappice Lake Limited Partnership is connecting a 14 MW solar generator effective April 19, 2023. The monthly outage and short-term outage graphs will be updated in the normal manner on the AESO’s website based on the information entered in the Energy Trading System. This new capacity will be reflected on the Current Supply & Demand page effective April 19, 2023.

Please note that the date listed on this notice is the date a new asset will be added to the market. However, many generation units may initially undergo commissioning and testing activities, or incorporation in phases as applicable, and there may be a period of time before the new generation will output its full MW capability on to the grid.
