    New Asset Vulcan (VCN1) Notice

Please note that the effective date of Asset VCN1 has been changed to Sept. 22, 2022. The previous notification listed an effective date of Sept. 27, 2022.

Concord Vulcan Partnership is connecting a 22 MW generating asset effective Sept. 22, 2022. The monthly outage and short term outage graphs will be updated in the normal manner on the AESO’s website based on the information entered in the Energy Trading System. This new capacity will be reflected on the Current Supply & Demand page effective Sept. 22, 2022.

Please note that the date listed on this notice is the date a new asset will be added to the market. However, many generation units may initially undergo commissioning and testing activities, or incorporation in phases as applicable, and there may be a period of time before the new generation will output its full MW capability on to the grid.
