    Coal Monthly Outage Reporting

    The below is an update to the April 19, 2017 posting found here.

    The AESO provides market participants with outage information by fuel type for the next two years in the Monthly Outage report.

    The coal outage information in this report is currently inaccurate because some market participants are unable to submit specific outage information, particularly when there is a change in submitting parties in the future. Until this issue is resolved, the AESO will provide outage information on behalf of the affected market participants.

    For the months of May 2019 to August 2019, the Monthly Outage Report should reflect additional coal outage numbers for Sundance 1 and Sundance 2 as per the notice.

    The AESO will update the Monthly Outage Report as soon as possible, and is taking steps to ensure this report continues to be accurate for the duration of the outages.
