Fraudulent letters claiming to be from the AESO
The AESO would also like to take this opportunity to remind all stakeholders to be vigilant when it comes to identifying fraud and other scams.
There was a recent incident where fraudulent letters claiming to be from the AESO were circulating, which falsely purport to enter into certain power purchase arrangements. Please be advised that the AESO has not issued any such letters and these letters appear to be forgeries. The AESO is not presently entering into any power purchase arrangements. The AESO takes this matter seriously. If you receive such a letter or are unsure whether a letter originated from the AESO, please notify the AESO immediately by contacting General.Counsel@aeso.ca.
