New Security Certificate for Automated Dispatch and Messaging System (ADaMS)
The current security certificate used to access the ADaMS will expire on July 6, 2017. In order to maintain secure access to the ADaMS a new security certificate will be required.
Participants who receive dispatches and/or directives from the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) system controllers need to make a request for a new security certificate by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The new security certificate will be valid until April 10, 2018.
All security certificate requests must be received from the Corporate Contact as registered in the Energy Trading System (ETS). Corporate Contacts as listed in the ETS may be viewed by accessing the Pool Participant List on the AESO website.
It is the corporate contact’s responsibility to ensure the new security certificate is installed on all systems within their organization that require access to the ADaMS by July 6, 2017. Non-compliance as a result of the corporate contact failing to distribute the new certificate to all required personnel will not be excused due to the change in certificates.
The new security certificate is now available. Corporate Contacts who request the certificate will receive the certificate by email within three business days.
Attempts to access the ADaMS using the old security certificates after July 6, 2017 will result in an error message indicating that the site does not exist.
If you have any questions regarding the new security certificate, please contact AESO First Call at 1-888- 588-AESO (2376) during the business hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm MST Monday to Friday, or email email@example.com.
