    Section 8 - Ancillary Services

    Ancillary services are provided by market participants when the AESO determines there is a need for such services to maintain system reliability and ensure the reliable operation of the electric system. Market participants required by the AESO to provide ancillary services will be directed to do so in accordance with ISO rules and will receive compensation.
