    Canada Kuwait Petrochemical Facility Connection

    Canada Kuwait Petrochemical Corporation (CKPC) has applied to the AESO for transmission system access to connectits proposed Canada Kuwait Petrochemical Facility (Facility) in the City of Fort Saskatchewan area. CKPC’s request can be met by the following solution:

    • Add a new substation, to be designated Canakuwa 1065S, including two 240/34.5 kilovolt (kV) transformers, and four 240 kV circuit breakers
    • Add two 240 kV circuits to connect the proposed Canakuwa 1046S substation to the existing 240 kV transmission line 942L in an in-and-out configuration
    • Connect the Facility to the proposed Canakuwa 1046S substation
    • Add or modify associated equipment as required for the above transmission developments
