Connecting your project to the Alberta Interconnected Electric System
The Connection Process involves formal Stages (0-6) and follows a gated approach. Key activities take place in each Stage. Projects must meet all of the requirements within each Stage to complete the corresponding Gate for that Stage.
The AESO monitors this process to ensure that all customers seeking connection to the AIES are provided open and fair access.
