    Stakeholder Session | FFR Services Procurement Information Session

    The AESO will host a virtual Fast Frequency Response Services Procurement Information Session on December 13, 2023.

    Purpose

    The AESO is exploring competitive procurements for technology-agnostic Fast Frequency Response (FFR) Services for when Alberta’s electric system is interconnected and in islanded conditions. Market sounding meetings are now complete and feedback provided by stakeholders has been considered.

    The AESO is hosting a virtual information session on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to:

    1. Review input received on product and procurement design
    2. Share FFR product design decision and obtain final comments
    3. Discuss timelines and next steps for procurement process
