Purpose
The AESO is undertaking stakeholder engagement to review rate Demand Transmission Service (DTS), Demand Opportunity Service (DOS) and other rate classes (such as self-supply, large load, and non-firm rates) through the Internal Demand Rates workstream.
At this stage of the consultation, we have released high level bill impacts to potential changes to Rate DTS.
Interested parties have an opportunity to request specific rate impacts that we have estimated.
Instructions:
- Transmission customers can request an expected bill impact analysis of their own bills
- Requests must be made via email to ISOtariffredesign@aeso.ca by June 8
- Requests for a bill impact analysis must come from an employee or officer of the transmission customer, i.e. the legal entity that owns the System Access Service (SAS) contract.
- For reasons of confidentiality, the AESO will not disclose bill impacts to any third parties such as consultants
- Transmission customers that wish to share their information with consultants must do so themselves

- Date & time June 8, 2026, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, MDT
