Stakeholder session

Purpose

The AESO will provide an update on large load integration in Alberta (including data centres), with a focus on introducing the AESO's proposed process to advance grid connections through large loads bringing their own generation. There will be opportunities for questions throughout and a written feedback window following the session.

Topics that will be covered include:

• Project qualifications and application requirements
• Allowable generator types and required generation to load ratios
• Process steps and terms and conditions
• Energization and operational requirements
• Option for interim "bridging load"
• Next steps and key timelines
