Black Bear Combined Cycle Power Plant Project Connection (2499)

Kiwetinohk Energy Corp. (Kiwetinohk) has applied to the AESO for transmission system access to connect its approved Black Bear Combined Cycle Power Plant (Facility) in the Swan Hills area. Kiwetinohk’s request can be met by the following solution:

• Add a substation, to be designated as Jackson 2105S, including six 240 kV (kilovolt) circuit breakers.
• Connect the proposed Jackson 2105S substation to the existing 240 kV transmission lines 9L938 and 9L939 in a double in-and-out configuration.
• Add one 240 kV transmission line to connect the Facility to the Jackson 2105S substation.
• Add or modify associated equipment as required for the above transmission developments.
