    Jumbo Battery Storage Project Connection (2616)

    Neoen Renewables Canada Inc. (Neoen) has applied to the AESO for transmission system access to connect its proposed Jumbo Battery Storage Facility in the Fort Macleod area. Neoen’s request can be met by the following solution:

    • Add a switching substation, to be designated as Stowe 1133S, including three 240 kilovolt (kV) circuit breakers.
    • Connect the proposed Stowe 1133S substation to the existing 240 kV transmission line 1037L using an in-and-out configuration.
    • Add one 240 kV transmission line to connect the Facility to the Stowe 1133S substation.
    • Add or modify associated equipment as required for the above transmission developments.
