Stakeholder Session | Grid Reliability, Integration & Performance (GRIP) Requirements Discussion

    Purpose

The AESO is updating its technical assessment process to address emerging Alberta Interconnected Electric System (AIES) reliability challenges and minimize real-time operational issues in the Connection and Cluster Assessment processes. These guidelines provide a recommended assessment methodology and a structured process aligned with ISO rules, Alberta Reliability Standards (ARS), and Connection Requirements for Inverter-Based Resources (IBRs).

This session is intended to explore the assessment guidelines, highlight specific key aspects, and provide opportunities to answer stakeholder questions.
