Historical energy emergency alert (EEA) event data

In response to a data request, the AESO is providing historical energy emergency alert (EEA) event data over the period of January 1, 2006, to April 5, 2024. At this time, there are no plans to provide further updates to this information.

Please note that in 2022 the AESO began to move away from the previous definitions of EEA levels 1-3. The updated approach only uses a single classification for all supply shortfall events, called a Grid Alert. (See the definition here). In the datafile, all Grid Alerts are listed as EEA3 events.
